| Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Indiana Pacers co-owner Melvin Simon has died. He was 82 years old. According to the Indianapolis Star, Simon died after a short illness. A pioneer in the building of shopping malls, Simon purchased the Pacers with his brother, Herbert, in 1983. Under the Simons' ownership, the Pacers have reached the playoffs 17 times with an NBA Finals appearance in the spring of 2000. | Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Indiana Pacers rookie forward Tyler Hansbrough will miss the next 6-to-8 weeks with a right shin injury, the team announced Friday. The injury was initially suffered last year at North Carolina, as Hansbrough sat out four of the first seven games. After three productive seasons in Portland, Jack performed well in his first year with the Pacers in 2008-09, averaging career-highs of 13.1 points and 3.4 assists while playing in all 82 games.
