Wizards' Josh Howard leaves game with knee injury

02/22/2010 - Washington, DC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Washington Wizards forward Josh Howard left Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls late in the first quarter after injuring his left knee.

With 4:24 remaining in the initial period, Howard received a long pass from teammate Mike Miller. Howard's left knee buckled on him as he got the basketball.

The Wake Forest product went to the ground immediately and needed assistance getting to the locker room. It was reported shortly thereafter that Howard had a sprained knee and wouldn't return to the game.

The Wizards acquired Howard from Dallas last week in a seven-player deal that sent forward Caron Butler to the Mavericks.
