James Jones was a spark off the bench for the victors with 14 points. Jason Kapono led Philadelphia with 17 points, while Andre Iguodala went for 15 points, nine assists and six rebounds in the loss, the club's ninth in 10 games. Thaddeus Young and Jrue Holiday had 14 and 12 points, respectively, in defeat. Miami's Jermaine O'Neal was ejected after getting into an altercation with Samuel Dalembert with 5:06 remaining in the third quarter. The Heat were leading 73-57 at that time, but the Sixers ended the quarter on a 16-5 run to pull within 78-73. Thanks to a pair of three-pointers from Jones, the Heat pulled away in the fourth, starting the frame on a 10-1 run. After Jason Smith hit Philly's first field goal of the final stanza with 7 1/2 minutes left to momentarily stop the spurt, Haslem and Jamaal Magloire added buckets to Miami's cause for a 92-76 lead. The closest the Sixers got from there was six. Miami scored the final eight points of the first quarter to jump out to a 31-21 lead. The hosts remained in front at halftime, 57-49.
